The Brief
To celebrate the the relaunch of their F50 soccer boot, adidas asked me to create a sculpture that functioned as a centerpiece within their 3-day experiential marketing campaign in NYC.
The goal was to convey speed and motion.
Moodboard
When the adidas team mentioned speed and motion, I immediately thought of the sculpture "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space" by Umberto Boccioni which aimed to express movement and fluidity.

Production Oversight
With only 3 week's to produce a 6 foot piece, I managed a team of 3 assistants to take idea from concept to executed work.
The piece was digitally sculpted in virtual reality and then I worked with my team in blender and fusion 360 to divide it into parts that could be efficiently 3D-printed in 65 interlocking parts.
I had oversight of the fabrication and then sent it to Philadelphia to be coated in fiberglass, resin and automotive paint.
